“Resurrection Power: The Seed Principle” | Mac Hammond
Recap
Pastor Mac taught about the Resurrection Power that is available to every born again believer. Resurrection power raised Jesus from the dead! And that same power is available to us today… to raise up whatever dead circumstance that we might have in our lives. Pastor Mac started his message by playing a video testimony of the miraculous healing of Landen Hoffman, a five-year-old boy who was tossed over the third floor balcony by a stranger at the Mall of America. Landen’s family immediately began to believe God for His resurrection power to raise up Landen. And that’s what happened! Landen was miraculously healed and restored to perfect health. The doctors said it was a miracle.
Dive Deeper
Easter is about resurrection power, but for a lot of people that’s just a theological concept. They agree that Jesus was raised up by God’s resurrection power but they wonder how that is relevant to their lives today.
The Bible says that if you are in Christ, resurrection power is always at your disposal.
Pastor Mac then played a video of the testimony of the Hoffman family when their five-year-old was thrown off the third-floor balcony at the Mall of America. Pastor used it to examine resurrection power and how we all have access to it in our everyday lives.
Often, believers only think about resurrection power in an abstract way. But when faced with a life-and-death situation, people begin to grasp the reality that Christ provided for us that power to be released in our lives.
This power is available to everyone but many don’t avail themselves to it. It comes to those who don’t give up, who keep standing and don’t weaken or get tired and quit before they see results.
The Bible says if you don’t get weary, you’ll reap your harvest.
Many get weary and quit. They don’t see it through to the end. Sometimes, the results don’t come immediately. Even with Jesus, He wasn’t raised up until the third day!
There’s a passage of time when it looks like death is going to triumph in your life. It’s at that time, you don’t let go. If you let go, death takes hold, takes root. If you stay committed to the promise of God and don’t let go, resurrection power will be made available to you.
Death takes many different forms. Death isn’t just a physical thing. It could be death of a marriage, death of finances or a business venture.
When you become born again, you’re translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of His dear Son, the kingdom of God. One kingdom operates by cursing and death. The other kingdom operates by blessing and life.
Often, we look at the faith failure of others and apply their experiences to our lives, letting their experience influence our own stand of faith.
That’s foolish! God says we’re not to be moved by anyone or anything except the Word of God.
So, why do so many believers fail to access resurrection power in their lives when the Word says it’s available to them? Pastor Mac goes on to talk about two principle reasons that is the cause of why people fail to experience resurrection power.
Read About It
Ephesians 1:18, “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead.”
1st Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

FOCUS FOR EFFECT: Love | Mac Hammond

Pastor Mac taught the third installment of his series entitled, “Focus on Effect,” based upon 2nd Corinthians 4:17, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” The apostle Paul said the hardships in our lives can be light and momentary. It all depends on what we place our focus upon. Paul says we are to focus our attention on what is eternal, rather than what is temporal. There are three things that are eternal: faith, hope, and love. We are to focus on that.

FOCUS FOR EFFECT: Hope | Mac Hammond

This series is all about focus, meaning where do you give your attention. This is important because whatever you give your attention to will determine how hard or difficult your life will be. And conversely, it will determine how easy and carefree it will be. Teaching on 1st Corinthians 13:13, Pastor Mac says you can gain the clarity you need to succeed in your life by focusing on matters of faith, hope, and love.

Focus on Effect | Mac Hammond

Pastor Mac began a new series entitled, “Focus on Effect.” He started off by telling us the topic of the new series is something we probably think we already know about, but in fact, we don’t know enough about it as we probably should. The scriptural reference was 2nd Corinthians 4:17–18: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Though Pastor Mac has taught on this passage before, he said he’s “gotten a glimpse of a different side of this mountain. And I’m seeing it from a perspective that has really impacted me in a positive way.” He added, “And I want it to be that way for you all as well.”

Are We in the Days of Noah? | Jim Hammond

Jesus’ disciples asked Him what the signs will be of His coming. Jesus said it will be like it was in the days of Noah: “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Fellow believers, we are in the days of Noah. All they thought about in the days of Noah was eating and drinking and the like. They were not thinking about the flood that was coming. So it is today!

A Deception of Palestine | Jim Hammond

This past weekend, Pastor Jim ministered a special God-directed message for the congregation entitled, “A Deception of Palestine.” He talked about how there is a division in the body of Christ worldwide, where believers are allowing themselves to become deceived when it comes to the present and ongoing deception regarding the Jewish people and Israel. It’s important that Christians do not allow themselves to be persuaded by worldly and ungodly leaders and news systems. It’s important they know what the Word of God says and exalt it as God’s truth.
