God has forgiven you completely. Keep that truth central in your thinking. Too many times, people think that God will turn His back on them after they sin. They ignore the gift of God’s mercy and undeserved favor. God, however, wants each one of us to live with His free gift of righteousness central in our thinking. As we are quick to remember and receive God’s forgiveness of sins, we can also be quick to receive the healing and grace God has provided for other areas of our lives.

Dive Deeper:
This past weekend, Pastor Jim continued his series on the truth that being occupied with Christ is greater than being occupied with our selves. The more we realize how much Jesus did for us, the easier it will be to receive all God wants to give us.

Jesus doesn’t deal in condemnation. If we are in condemnation, we don’t know how much we’ve been forgiven by God. We have been made righteous through Jesus; that means we have been cleared from all guilt. Through the cross, our sins have been forgiven and we can live at peace with God.

Every time we sin, our righteousness is not snatched away. We can go back to God and receive His mercy for what we have done. Every time we doubt, we are not suddenly less righteous. We don’t lose an umbrella of protection over our lives. We are righteous because we’ve already been forgiven. God wants us to focus on that truth.

God wants to multiply His peace and grace to us, over and over and over again. If we don’t see that multiplication of peace and grace in our lives, remember the sacrifice of Jesus. Know that we have been forgiven of every sin and then receive God’s mercy and grace and peace.

May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in [the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

1. How does remembering Jesus’ sacrifice move us to a place of knowing that God has made us worthy to receive all He has given us?

2. When the enemy reminds us of how sinful we’ve been, what should we do?

Pastor Jim was back and gave his 24th installment of his study on the book of Romans called “Unveiled Grace: The Dominion of Grace.” By now, the congregants that have been following Pastor Jim’s teaching on Romans should have a clear understanding of what justification is and what it means to the believer. There are many benefits to this justification. It’s a gift of New Testament righteousness. But this righteousness is something you must be established in. And fortunately, by the time this study on Romans has been completed, you absolutely will have been established in it. Because, as Pastor Jim said, “I’ve been hammering it and hammering it and hammering it!”

Releasing the Anointing | Releasing the Anointing

Special guest Dr. James Tan continued his message entitled, “Releasing the Anointing.” He used Hebrews 5:14 as his text: “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Dr. James said, “This tells us there is solid food available, but it only belongs to those who are full age.” If there is full age, then that means these is a half age, or partial age, or young age. God’s goal for us is that we grow and mature into “full age.”

THE VISION IMPERATIVE, #5: The Commitment | Mac Hammond

This past weekend, Pastor Mac gave the last message in his series entitled, “The Vision Imperative.” Since it was the last message, that made it “Commitment Sunday.” He talked about commitment being the final step to whatever we need or desire from the Lord. Without commitment, he said, not much is going to happen in your life. Many people avoid commitment and, instead, are always seeking the proverbial “backdoor” of a situation. Pastor Mac said, “You can’t go through life that way. The only blessed person is a committed person.”

And then, individually, you too must sharpen and clarify God’s vision in your own life and how it will fit into the larger vision of the local church. This is the very thing that will cause your life to “Come Alive!” After all, Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish!”
