Conference Recap

Demonstrations of the presence of God were manifested at The Prayer and Presence Conference this past weekend. Guest speakers Heidi Baker, Joseph Harris, and Leif Hetland shared what was on their hearts, and a definite theme came forth—we are at the threshold of a great awakening to God. The flames for world evangelism were ignited by three different videos: 1) an update on Living Word’s church planting mission, 2) a video of how Iris Global Ministries is in the midst of violence and persecution, yet they bravely continue their work, and 3) a video of a great outpouring of God’s Spirit in Asia!

Friday, March 15, 2024 | “The Spirit Without Measure” | Heidi Baker

Guest minister Heidi Baker came to encourage us, that no matter what America faces, Jesus is King and worship is our weapon. As long as we’re connected to Him, the enemy can’t take us out. As John 3:34 says, “God gives the Spirit without limit.” The Spirit without limit! What does that look like? To be drenched with the Spirit? We’re going to think in a different way and see things through the mind of Christ. We can look at darkness and go “Ha!” Yes, the times are dark, but we’re not to be shaken in this stormy world. She exhorted, “Keep your eyes fixed on Him.”

Saturday, March 16, 2024, 10 a.m. | “The Hour of Emergency” | Joseph Harris

Guest minister Joseph Harris warned us that emergency hours were upon the earth! And the Lord said He needed intercessors. They are needed to prepare us for the soon coming awakening. The Lord told Joseph to call this preparation a “time of birthing.” John 16:13 says, “He will show you things to come.” When He shows us things that are coming, it’s not so we can be “in the know.” It’s so we can respond! We are in the hour of emergency and God is giving assignments to birth out through prayer. He encouraged everyone to step up!

Saturday, March 16, 2024, 5 p.m. | “The Three Kingdoms” | Leif Hetland

Guest minister Leif Hetland used a demonstration of “three chairs” to illustrate relationship position with God: chair #1, chair #2, chair #3. Chair number three represents people that live in the kingdom of the world. They are without God. People in chairs one and two are Christians. However, the people in chair two live in the kingdom of self. To them, life is all about “me.” People in chair one live in the kingdom of God. They seek first His kingdom and are Spirit filled. The supernatural, for them, is natural. Our goal is to live in chair one, to be anointed ministers of the Gospel. Because people in the world are living in darkness, and they deserve to have an encounter with Jesus.

Sunday, March 17, 2024, 9 a.m. | “Come and Drink” | Leif Hetland

Guest minister Leif Hetland taught on John chapter 4, when Jesus said to the woman at the well, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.” He said, “America is thirsty but she’s drinking the wrong water, polluted water. Americans are thirsty, but they’re filling themselves up with things that don’t fulfill. Only the Living Water can take away their thirst.” There are so many thirsty people in the world, and we need to be filled with the Living Water ourselves, in order to dispense the pure Living Water to the thirsty!

Sunday, March 17, 2024, 11 a.m. | “Harvest Time” | Heidi Baker

Guest minister Heidi Baker declared “The fields are ripe for harvest and now is the time for the harvest.” She urged believers to lay down their lives on the altar until there is nothing left. God wants you to pick up your cross and follow Him, dying daily to our own ability, our own strength, our own understanding. Heidi prophesied saying, “The Lord says He wants you to lay down your fishing pole. Harvest time is here. It’s time for nets!” We need to shift from “I” to “We.” We must work together because there is a time of harvest coming that the world has never seen before, a great and mighty harvest. It’s time to get out the nets!

Recent Sermon Notes

Covenant and Chesed | Billye Brim

we had our long-time friend of the ministry, Dr. Billye Brim, as our guest minister. She taught us about covenant and a very special word tied to it—chesed! God is a covenant-keeping God and He wants to enter covenant with us. She reminded us that He has a glorious plan for all His children. Because He is a covenant-keeping God, He will honor His plan for our lives as long as we honor and live under His demands for our lives.

Grace Unveiled, #22: Resurrection Magnification | Jim Hammond

Pastor Jim continued his series Grace Unveiled this past weekend. He continued in Romans chapter 6 and talked about what baptism is and the importance of recognizing that there is power available to us through Jesus’ resurrection. We are new creatures in Christ who can identify with the resurrection of Jesus. We don’t need to live by our old ways. We can magnify Jesus and all He is done for us. His grace makes us everything we can become today!

Grace Unveiled: “Baptized Into His Death” | Jim Hammond

Pastor Jim presented the 21st installment to his series on the book of Romans entitled, “Grace Unveiled.” By now, having gone through Romans chapters 1 through 5, we should all have an understanding of what it means to be justified. Once you ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, you receive the gift of righteousness. That means you are able to stand before God the Father without a sense of guilt or inferiority. This is the New Testament covenant we have with God, made possible through Jesus Christ. Now that we have a firm understanding of what it means to be justified through grace, Pastor Jim began to teach on the subject of sanctification.

GRACE UNVEILED 19 The Throne of Grace | Jim Hammond

Pastor Jim gave the 20th installment of his series on the book of Romans entitled, “Grace Unveiled.” His subtitle was “The Spirit Is Greater Than Flesh.” He finished up his examination of Galatians 5, where it listed the works of the flesh. This examination revealed that a lot of us have been sinning and we didn’t even realize it! Nonetheless, because of our New Testament Covenant, through grace, our sins are forgiven and we are made righteous before our God!

Upper Midwest Faith Explosion 24 | Terri Savelle Foy, Kenneth Copeland, and Jesse Duplantis

“Ignite a fresh fire in our hearts, Lord,” was the heart cry of Pastor Mac at the annual Upper Midwest Faith Explosion. Passion to fulfill the Lord’s mandate to make disciples of all nations was the driving force of these special meetings. Though each of our guest speakers—Terri Savelle Foy, Kenneth Copeland, and Jesse Duplantis— preached unique messages, their messages converged into a united flow, acknowledging the time is short. It’s time for the body of Christ to push beyond the limits of the Christian experience, uniting together to make disciples of all nations. “And that,” said Pastor Mac, “is how we will change the face of the globe!”
