UMFE Recap
“Ignite a fresh fire in our hearts, Lord,” was the heart cry of Pastor Mac at the annual Upper Midwest Faith Explosion. Passion to fulfill the Lord’s mandate to make disciples of all nations was the driving force of these special meetings. Though each of our guest speakers—Terri Savelle Foy, Kenneth Copeland, and Jesse Duplantis— preached unique messages, their messages converged into a united flow, acknowledging the time is short. It’s time for the body of Christ to push beyond the limits of the Christian experience, uniting together to make disciples of all nations. “And that,” said Pastor Mac, “is how we will change the face of the globe!”

Terri Savelle Foy
The Five Keys to Acceleration

Terri Savelle Foy believes God is accelerating things; therefore, she wanted to talk about accelerate. She asked, “What are you going to do with the rest of your life? I want to light a fire in you, to get serious about going after your dreams, callings, and assignments.” Terri then shared with us the “Five Keys to Acceleration,” which are clarity, confession, continual growth, constant gratitude, and consistent giving. Hearing what she had to say about each of the keys will fill you with both inspiration and aspiration!

Brother Kenneth Copeland
What Happened From the Cross to the Throne?

Brother Kenneth Copeland said most Christians do not know what happened to Jesus from His death on the cross to when He was seated at the right hand of God in heaven. The power of the cross began when Jesus cried out, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?” That was the moment Jesus the Son, was separated from God the Father. Jesus descended into hell where He spent three days and three nights. What happened while He was there? Jesus battled Satan, bringing an end to Satan’s power over death and hell. Brother Copeland went on to expound on the effects that Jesus’ death and resurrection had for all of mankind!

Dr. Jesse Duplantis
Unrealized Possibilities

Dr. Jesse Duplantis said, “I’m a vision specialist, so I want to talk to you about unrealized possibilities.” In the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand, the disciples looked at the five loaves of bread and two fishes and saw that it wasn’t enough to feed the people. Jesus looked at the five loaves and two fishes and saw harvest. They fed the five thousand with the five loaves and two fishes and ended up with 12 baskets of leftovers! Jesse said, “There is no limit to unrealized possibilities. You may just see the seed. I see the harvest. Are you seeing what God sees? When you see what God sees, you’ll have what God has.” God wants to use you like that! It will happen when you realize there is no limit to unrealized possibilities!

Dr. Jesse Duplantis
Give God a Job!

Dr. Jesse Duplantis proclaimed, “I am a vision specialist. I believe in getting things done.” God gave Abraham and Sarah a child when Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah was 90. Is there anything too hard for God? No! There is nothing too hard for God. God wants you to expand your way of thinking, believing, and living. God is blessed when you stretch your view of what He can do. Don’t let people’s small thinking affect your big thinking. Jesse said, “Give God a job! He, in turn, will give you a job.” God wants to work with you and through you.

Endure to the End

Dr. Jesse Duplantis used Mathew 24 for his text:
“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matt. 24:6–14)

Reading this scripture is like reading today’s headlines! Deception is a great problem today. There are many false prophets trying to sell us a different Gospel. We hear all the time about wars and rumors of wars. Nations are rising against other nations. We’ve experienced famines, pestilence, and earthquakes. And Christians are hated in the nations.

In spite of all these chaotic things happening, verse 13 says “he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Jesse said, “If you endure to the end, you’ll be saved. I want to talk about how to get to that end.”

People claim that we can’t know when Jesus will return. Jesse declared, “I know when Jesus is coming back! When the Gospel is preached to all the world, ‘then shall the end come.’ That’s when Jesus will come back!”

2nd Corinthians 5:19 says Christ reconciled the world unto himself … and hath committed unto us the world of reconciliation.”

We are ambassadors for Christ, sent to all the world to preach the Gospel of reconciliation. The dissemination of the Gospel to all the nations will bring about the end—the end being the return of Jesus Christ.

Finding Your Voice in Prayer | Ken Olson

Pastor Ken Olson shared with us a message on “Finding Your Voice in Prayer.” Noting that our nation’s Declaration of Independence declares that we, as citizens, have the right to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. He further added, “There’s nothing more empowering, more enabling to pursue life, liberty, and happiness and so many other things that God has planned for our lives than a pursuit of a lifelong relationship through prayer with our Heavenly Father.” Heaven isn’t just a place. Heaven is a divine flow!

Dr. James Tan | Power and Fire, Part 3

Dr. James Tan was our special guest speaker. He spoke about the supernatural power people receive when they experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Entitled, “Power and Fire,” Dr. James taught all three weekend services on the basic fundamental truths concerning a believer’s encounter with Holy Ghost power! He stressed how important it is for all believers to have their own personal encounters with God the Holy Ghost for themselves. “You can’t live off someone else’s testimony,” he said. “You have to get your own experiences about encountering the power of the Holy Spirit for yourself.”

GRACE UNVEILED, #37: Tongues: The Fire Is Still Burning | Jim Hammond

Have you ever been in a place in your life where you don’t know how to pray or what to pray… where you don’t have the words to express to God what you need from Him? It’s a place in which all born again believers have found themselves. This is the subject matter Pastor Jim taught us in his 37th installment of his ongoing series on the book of Romans—“Grace Unveiled.” It is the Holy Spirit that makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered in articulate language. About tongues, Pastor Jim said, “I do this for myself. You should pray in tongues for yourself. It’s a mistake not to!”

When Grace Sprinted | Jim Hammond

When Jesus walked the earth, one of His missions was to reveal the Father God’s love for us. And one of the ways He did that was through the telling of the Parable of the Prodigal Son. When teaching on this parable, most preachers focus all their attention on the Prodigal Son, and how he repented. However, the whole point of this parable is to reveal the Father’s love. Pastor Jim said, “This may be one of the most-preached messages in history. And I know you think you know what this parable is all about… Well, we shall see.”

GRACE UNVEILED | Creation on the Edge of Its Seat (Leaning Forward) | Jim Hammond

Pastor Jim taught the 36th installment of his ongoing series on the book of Romans, entitled “Grace Unveiled.” Due to the rich treasures that are contained in Romans chapter 8, Pastor Jim is determined to reveal every one of its gems, leaving no truth uncovered! Did you know, there are three “groans” in this chapter? In this message, we looked at the groan that all creation gives right before the end of the dispensation of grace. Folks, that’s right now!
