Living Word Online Launches

God is so deeply in love with all people; His heart beats to help and heal those who are open to Him.

Tuning into our online services has never been better! This past weekend, we launched Living Word Online, our church platform available on lwcc.org/live. Services are streamed as usual, but multiple features have been added including online prayer requests and a chat room.

Over 600 people joined us online and around 20–30 people joined our online chat during each service. The chat room included many people from the Twin Cities as well as people from all over the nation. A few comments included:

  • This is a great addition, I have been joining online for many years since I left MN 10 years ago—PTL you are here! (San Antonio, TX)
  • Hi from Phila PA; I received your email about the new format. It’s real nice.
  • Thanks for all the cool stuff Living Word is doing. My wife and I are old members there. (15 years as members)
  • Love the chance to interact this way as I can’t always attend in person. (Sartell, MN)

Multiple prayer requests were handled in an immediate manner, over sixty people raised their hands virtually to receive prayer for healing during service, and a nice comaradery was formed by all who were a part of the online chat.

Pastor Ken Olson summed up our new outreach well: “God is so deeply in love with all people; His heart beats to help and heal those who are open to Him. [As an online church, we want to] be ready to welcome them and be agents of hope and encouragement!

A lot of potential is in store for the future as we seek to make the most of this opportunity to reach people who may not connect with a church in another way.
