Guidelines for a Wedding at LWCC
1. Both bride and groom need to have completed membership classes with Pastor Mac. Membership confirms that this is their church home and that they have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.
2. If a couple has been cohabitating, they will be asked to establish alternative living arrangements.
3. There is a six-month preparation period which begins from the time we receive the application for a reserved wedding date.
4. A meeting with the Wedding Coordinator will focus on information pertaining to rehearsal and ceremony which will include securing desired wedding date with a deposit, contract agreement, reception and catering options, video options, and referrals.
5. The request for a pastor to officiate is made through the Wedding Coordinator.
6. Pre-marriage classes are to be attended within the first three months of the wedding preparation period.
7. The officiating pastor will contact the couple after confirmation of the pre-marriage classes and will schedule four or more individual sessions to be completed before the invitations are sent out.
8. A reduced fee for a marriage license can be granted by the officiating pastor at the last individual session. This is a legal form confirming a minimum of 12 hours of pre-marriage counseling.
