242 Small Group Ministry
The small group called 242 of our Family Support Ministry (for ages 4-19) and is an essential tool used to accomplish the mission of Family Support: partnering with parents to equip and empower children and youth to be genuine followers of Jesus Christ.
The name "242" comes from the scripture in Acts 2:42; "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." NASB
To find the service schedules, click on the age groups you find listed on the left hand side of the screen page.
The purpose of 242 is three-fold:
- To build godly relationships
We want to help you help your children make good choices concerning their friends. As the church grows, it becomes more difficult for kids to make friends; 242 will contain small groups of the same kids every week.
- Another Voice
At some point in every child's life, he asks himself this question: Do I believe? And if I do, is the only reason I believe because of my parents' beliefs? It's vital that every young person have another voice in their life that will say the same thing Mom and Dad are saying
- Weekly Discipleship
Every child from four years old to nineteen years old will be taught the same message using age-appropriate methods. Our reason for doing this is to empower you as the parent to continue their discipleship in your home devotions.
If you would like to learn more about how to get involved stop by our Kinderchurch, SuperChurch, Sudden Fire, or The Rock information counter.
